So after eighteen months of solid working, my bosses finally decided to give me the holidays I've been requesting since March... in November. Which is all well and good, but I was tired in March, now I'm just fucking over it. And I think they understand that. So they also decided to be humane and give me next week off. Relaxation will definitely be on the books. My wounds, they'll be able to heal.
Another thing I've been wanting to do for a long time is quit smoking. I was hoping to be able to get a good head start during my three week holidays. But that was apparently not meant to be. I'll probably give it a go anyway though. A week without cigarettes is better than a week with them I suppose.
Aside from that, I just finished watching the fourth season of NCIS. Surprisingly enough, after watching ten seasons of Stargate SG1, you manage your time remarkably well and can polish off a series of forty-four minute episodes rather quickly. When I first went back to anime after that, it took a lot of adjustment, believe me. Which is why season two of Spice and Wolf, which is the next series on my list, will be quite an adjustment to get used too.
As for NCIS Season 4, it was pretty cool. Though I thought there might be at least one or two episodes before the boss-man triumphantly returned to his team as we all knew he would. There's a lot of character-commentary during the series stating how much the characters had grown during Gibb's time away. But there was no episodic gap between the events of season three's ending and the beginning of season four. I found this quite disappointing. But I digress, I'll leave that write-up for an actual page of it's own.
I also have high hopes for season two of Spice and Wolf. So far I managed to get through the opening credits of episode one before I was summoned to tasks of more importance. The opening credits were annoying... I hate still flashes with music between credit pages, it bugs me. But that's just a personal hatred, not something I can judge an entire series by. Well, not yet anyway.
I was please to hear the same voice actors from the first series are present in the second. Well, the couple I heard are, anyway. This is always a good sign in my book.
I was going to link a Spice and Wolf season two trailer here from YouTube as well, but Funimation decided that Australia wasn't worthy to watch them. So I wont worry about adding one, instead you can have one for Godannar instead.
And that'll conclude me for this evening. I still have two days of work before my break, so I'll need to rest up.
[Edit] One quick update I've just thrown into the mix is the names of shows and things I might want to write about on the site down the link. If I do write about it, the link will magically turn green when the page is loaded. If I haven't written a post about it yet, the link will be displayed as red. Kinda like what Wikipedia does. I thought it was nifty, anyway.
